Heads up for virgin flarers

First time flarer here. You can't beat the inexpensiveness of this tool. However, we used 3/16" lines and this tool, in SAE, won't be sufficient to clamp the lines. European car, US tubes. Inner diameter works.I had to use a flaring vice grip from a different kit (the part that holds the brake line). I oiled the heads of the bubble flare tool and made many attempts as per attached photo before starting on the actual brake lines. Biggest criticism to this is that there is NO way to know how high

Pros
  • Worked well
Cons
  • Requires a lot of force to operate

I have been using a tool like this one for many years. The previous one which bought from the auto repair shop was helped a lot. That never had a problem with leaks. That works just like this perfectly adequate tool, but this cost less money. Thanks for the ebay Wostore. This kit works very well under the instructions. Remember deburr your tube inside and outside. Don't over tighten your tube clamp bar but ensures it does not slip. Protect cone on the first stage of double flare using the oil…

Pros
  • This is a strong flaring tool . Easy to use as well. Good product at a reasonable price.
Cons
  • Limited function for professional use

Alas, beyond return time once i tried it.

I've worked on cars for more than 40 years, and done a fair share of brake lines including flares. I have an old classic Rigid flaring tool which I mistook as not having 3/16", I thought it only had down to 1/4", but needed to do some 3/16" flares. So I bought this Wostore with the idea I didn't need another more expensive flaring tool for the long haul, just to do a couple of these 3/16" flares on this project. I regret the purchase. . This tool is very bad. After failing 4 tries to get one…

Pros
  • My husband found it to be a great value for the money. Helped him to complete the repair.
Cons
  • Not suitable for automotive use

For the price point this is an awesome tool. The tolerances on this tool where more than I expected at this price. The dyes proved to be very hard Steel I use the 3/16 die to double flare brake line and really pushed it to the Limit as far as tightening . I was able to flare the hard steel lines I know Chrysler Town & Country with ease. They were the plastic coated steel lines so I did have to shave off the plastic coating about an inch up for each connection in order to get a solid grip on the

Pros
  • It work well on the automotive stuff I work on
Cons
  • It's not really worth the money

Piece of junk in my review

I am very sorry to report this thing is terrible and not worth any money. I had to guy to Lowes and buy the Kobalt flaring tool, which was much much better. This thing can't stay lined up and square during flaring, so is basically a waste of your time to try. I was doing 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" copper tube for HVAC.

Pros
  • Item arrived fast and did the job just as designed with no problem .easy to use
Cons
  • Not intuitive to use

Get a different style!

Doesn't crip evenly. I won't say it's junk but the dies do not form the double flare very well. After about 5 attempts I gave up on it and ordered a different style. I'm sure there was some "user error" involved. But not all of it was.

Pros
  • Could have had a pipe cutter
Cons
  • Cuts the tube unevenly

Durability Issue - Item broke after 3rd use.

The 3/16 adapter broke on the 4th brake line. Hoping the seller will send another adapter as this one was defective. Very nice.

Pros
  • Very nice
Cons
  • The cutting process is loud and disruptive

I should have looked for the old man's flaring tool hidden in the hording mess that is his garage. It made perfect double flares every single time. No matter how many times I tried to use this, the dies never created a circle even close to being a circle when it was pressed closed.! It does not center over the tubing and pushes the die to one side or the other, creating a bad double flare that is oval. By the time I got around to using it on copper tubing, I missed the return window by a week…

Pros
  • ‎Wostore
Cons
  • Might not work on harder materials

Great product on my review.

I liked did it! It was easy a.f to use.i used it on my 2000 Dodge Dakota to bubble flare my break line when my brakes gave out due to a pin hole in my break line created by the vibration n rubbing against other part's

Double Flare and Bubble Flare Capable

I have a 2002 Ford F150 and the long brake line to the back brakes rusted out. I have not done brakes for 30+ years but I thought I'd give it a try. I bought 25 ft of 4lifetimelines copper nickel alloy 3/16". I used the original brake line to figure out how much brake line I needed. I cut the line with a copper pipe cutter. I watched YouTube and how to make the flares. I knew the flaring tool would make a double flare, but I didn't know if it would make a bubble flare. It does, use the flat…

Pros
  • Nice durable with easy directions. Decent tool for the money
Cons
  • Difficult to level accurately

Cost effective for the occasional job

There are certainly fancier ways of doing tubing flares but those tools are very expensive. This tool is fairly simply designed. It takes a bit of a learning curve to get used to, but if you take your time, it does a good job. If you are planning on using this in a professional manner, I would get the fancier tools.

Pros
  • A fine tool indeed
Cons
  • Heavy and bulky design

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool for a great price.

I did not have a vice to put this in and it still did the job just fine. I don't have any complaints about it. That's my review!

Pros
  • Worked
Cons
  • Takes a lot of time to set up and calibrate

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It did what it was supposed to do.

Only complaint would be that it doesn't grip ahold of the old break line well enough to flare it. But it was older line that had rust scale on it. Maybe design a insert to add to aid in use on old lines.

Pros
  • Everything I need in a easy to carry case
Cons
  • The flaring tool does not produce consistent results

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You get what you lay for.

Have gotten decent flares with this STYLE tool before so figured I'd try it again. Wasn't very lucky this time. No matter what I tried I couldn't get a centered flare. Ones that looked ok wouldn't seal. One of the wing nut s actually stripped out. I'm DONE with this style flare tool. Cheaper isn't always better!

Pros
  • Works good
Cons
  • MEH

Revainrating 3 out of 5

deburring tool not so great but the rest will do

over all seems pretty well made it had no issues with nico brake lines however the tool for cleaning inside a fresh cut broke on my first use so the quality there is a little lackluster but overall it was able to get the job done.

Pros
  • For the money,This kit works excellent! And its great quality too!
Cons
  • Poor quality materials

Perfect bubble flare kit!

Don’t need a double flaring tool, save your time and money, get a perfect bubble flares through this kit. I practiced on a 8 MM copper tube, it does well. Easy to use, only took a minute or two to figure this out. Then I done the flares on the vehicle fittings which had to be bubble flares, I had no leaks on the first try. Great!

Pros
  • I bought this to redo the brakes on my trucks and it worked flawlessly
Cons
  • Parts wear out quickly

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool, at a great value.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money, to purchase a special tool, in order to repair my car. So i ordered this low price flairing tool, to set about doing just that. It works great, I was able to fabricate all my line end connection, and get my car, back on the road.

Pros
  • Does a decent job for occasional use. It's smaller than you would think. Good value for the price.
Cons
  • Flaring tool is easily damaged

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth the price to do job correctly

Great product for diy purpose. Watching "how to” videos with use tips helped me get satisfactory results (did not include directions). Many people use double flare tool to create bubble flare. This product is worth the price to do it correctly, even as as one time use.

Pros
  • Nice tool. I love the covenant case to keep everything together.
Cons
  • Cheap !! Junk !!

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Did the job on my review.

The fit and finish on this tool leaves a little to be desired. That being said, it did the job. I had a successful flare without a leak first time I used it. I was a little concerned at the wobbliness of the flaring cone. Would have prefered to have it tighter.

Pros
  • Very good
Cons
  • Non-Durable

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Its just ok, i would get a better quality one next time

Its just ok, the clamp is the only prob, the brake line doesnt stay in place n slides through n u have 2 do it few times before it flares

Pros
  • Very nice flare set. Easy to use, well made. I like you can invert them also. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • Not suitable for high-pressure systems
