Peace of mind and tranquility - what more do you need?

Bought as 'better late than never' after one of our cats peed on our bed and got wet on the mattress, which we didn't realize until we were fed up, going in at 11:30pm to go to bed, uh. Honor the air mattresses! After telling friends what had happened, they all offered to get us a waterproof mattress cover, explaining that they'd come a long way since Grandma's plastic wrap. I chose this case because of the good reviews and I am very satisfied! It arrived a day early so I had time to wash it before putting it on the mattress (which is still drying after steam cleaning) and I saw water dripping off the inner liner as I put it in the washing machine when it was filled with water. so i felt safe. I haven't tested the waterproofness of the case yet. It's easy to wash with one set of linens (queen size) in a regular size washing machine and dry with linens in the tumble dryer. It took a little longer in the dryer after the sheets dried but it didn't last long. It doesn't crease, the plastic doesn't rustle or crackle to the touch, which, to be honest, bothered me the most. Small noises really annoy me, but luckily it's quiet here! It fits my deep mattress easily and is thin enough to fit my regular mattress topper and sheets easily. I am very happy with this mattress topper, hopefully never need it again but it was a painless $30 I spent for peace of mind compared to the cost of steam cleaning the mattress, buying an enzyme cleaner and sleeping on the airbed for 5 Days, and an elbow working and sniffing, checking the mattress to make sure there's no cat pee on it. Knowing that the worst-case scenario for a recurrence is just a few loads of laundry to clean your linens is very reassuring.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
