Ideal! Perfectly lubricated the garage door mechanism!

I have this to lubricate my garage door opener. I've been using sprays (both lithium and silicone) for the past few years and they work, but not for long (3 months). at best) and overspray is a pain. Usually after about 2 months the garage door opener would start making a tinkling noise which gradually got worse until the noise became so horrific that I re-oiled it. So it's been almost 2 months with this new lithium grease and sound. The garage door opener is solid without a hint of dinging noise. Instead of spending a small fortune on a grease gun, I got this grease bath and some 1 inch chip brushes (I'll link them below). I stuck the chip brush into the end of a piece of PVC pipe (think it was 3/4 inch) and used it to apply grease to the gears. I know you shouldn't apply too much because it can jam the gears and pick up dirt, so I applied the grease in small drops every 12 inches and then squirted, then I rocked the door and listened to the chime listened for noise, then I repeated the placement of small drops every 12 inches which I brushed over. I've done this twice and now the garage door sounds great and the hole test is less than $20. I had PVC pipe, but even 10 feet of it cost less than $5. An added plus, 100% of the lube went where I wanted it, there was no overspray of solvent and lube. Update 9/30/2020 (for those who have read this far): It's been almost 4 months since I've oiled the garage door and about 2 weeks ago the door started making a faint noise just before it finally closed make, but the noise was gone for a week. So it looks like I'll have to oil it again soon. The noise isn't nearly as bad as it used to be when I used sprays. The noise from them started suddenly and got worse with each use until the door sounded like chains. The door sounds solid for the most part this time and as I said the noise is gone but I'm sure it will come back I'll oil it again soon. this new method takes a little longer. Plus it's a lot cheaper, I don't have to deal with overspray (or subsequent dripping that can get on the car) when applying new lube, and there's no solvent smell coming out of the garage, so that's a plus. I recommend the brush and paste method. Chip brushes I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078X2GFLB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
