There must be a signal to be amplified.
I bought this for two reasons.1. I have an RV with metal in the wall for the signal to go in.2. I camp in the wilderness where it's hard to get cell phone signal. I installed it on a pole that rises 15 feet off the ground. I also have an app that points to a cell tower. I still can't get a signal in a remote area.
