I've been using a Sybasonic DAC/AMP combo with SHP9500 for a while, but lately I've been wanting to upgrade my audio gear to more powerful ones. Did some research and settled on the Focal Elex as my go-to headphones and needed a DAC/amp that could work with the new headphones. I decided on the SH-9 and bought it "used - like new". To be honest, it was more like an open box. Everything is intact with no signs of wear, even the remote control was in the package. The amp itself exceeded all my expectations. I'm still a zero when it comes to all of this HiFi gear, but I definitely feel like I got what I paid for. Read/watch a few reviews and decide for yourself, but I think you'll be happy with this too, especially if it's an improvement over other cheaper entry-level hardware.
