It took my White-fronted Amazon about two weeks to transition from a seed mix. The first owner had it from newborn to 2 years old. When I bought the little guy, he fed him a mix of seeds and peanuts. I knew he needed more nutritious food, but I was skeptical and worried he wouldn't try the pellets. First I added seeds and pellets 50/50 and he ignored the pellets as expected. A few days later he still wouldn't touch the pellets until I pretended to eat them and showed him how delicious they were. He was curious so he tasted them, bit them once and threw them away, still stubborn. After a week I wet some pellets in my hands and gave him one by one, now he actually ate them which finally brought me great relief. But I still wasn't sure if if he left 100% granules in his bowl it would be 80% granules and 20% seeds. Two weeks later he is now eating 100% pellets and I am a happy parrot owner.
