This is actually an improvement of the original Suunto belt holder. There is a bar on the bottom that fits into the slots on the strap to prevent the holder from moving when worn. Also, it's better to attach two than one to keep the strap in place until the end. You don't really need the included tool for this particular watch as the retainers simply slide over the top of the buckle without removing them. They differ slightly in color and finish from the Suunto silicone strap, but this is not noticeable when wearing the watch. I will buy again if they break later.
