Very easy to use but will rust immediately when wet.

I bought these for a set of keyrings I made for a monthly box subscription. They are beautiful, inexpensive, and the perfect size for what I was looking for. They were very easy to assemble with other keychain components. Unfortunately, there was one big downer: when I accidentally got wet alone, it dried completely rusty. Since key fobs almost always get wet at some point, this is quite a problem. I've already completed my project so I had to work with them, but I wish I knew how they would age before I buy them.
