I bought these accessory cables for the purpose of a 3 day trip, totaling about 28 hours in the car, and wanted to be able to play my own music while in the car Listen. I decided to take both cables with me in case one turned out to be defective. Within 20 minutes of using the purple chord it only plays when the cord is wrapped around my phone and placed in a very specific position and after 8 hours that cord stops working entirely. I stopped for the night and as soon as I started the next morning I threw out the purple wire and plugged in the blue, this wire lasted about 12 hours before it also started shorting out and had to be placed in a very specific position. keep playing your music. After stopping overnight and starting again the next morning, this cable lasted about 3-4 hours before it stopped working completely. I ended up stopping by a gas station and buying an extra cable for the rest of the trip, but so far haven't had any issues with my newest cable. I am very disappointed that both cords closed so quickly. and would definitely not buy it again.
