I bought Mini Melissa Tricot for my daughter's first ballet class and they did not disappoint. The taupe color goes perfectly with any outfit and the stitching and quality of the shoe is impressive. The size is true to size and the comfort is excellent, even for a child who is not used to wearing shoes for a long time. The only reason I didn't give these shoes a full 5 stars is that they took a little time to break in. My daughter complained that they were a little tight around her toes at first, but after a few wears they seemed to stretch and take shape on her feet. Overall, I highly recommend the Mini Melissa Tricot as a first ballet shoe for young children. They are stylish, comfortable and durable.
