This could be mistaken for a round glass. Although it's "mostly round," it's actually flat on both sides. It has a non-slip bottom, which I really like. The height of this glass is 8.5 inches. It is only 3 inches wide at the bottom and 3.5 inches wide at the top. I don't know how the design is applied. I assume it's some kind of "sticker". But it's well made and fairly smooth, if not smooth. Matte finish. Although it shows that this item is "dishwasher safe". . . I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher for love or money. I personally think this is definitely a hand wash item. I have several of these, the rest are for hand washing. The lid is stuck. Although no straw is included, you can use one with this lid if you wish. At a current price of $38, this is insanely expensive Made in China glass. Of course, there are also much cheaper glasses. That has been said. . . It is an American company based in Orlando, Florida. They have some very cool ones. . .unique. . . design and I really like this one.
