I decided to give it a try instead of spending over $100 on a Moen OEM adapter but unfortunately it didn't work. The valve control never started (clicks and sensor display flashing) and the faucet would not open with the proximity sensor or hand lever. So the old saying that this cheap adapter is too good to be true. I really wish Moen would come out with something cheaper than the $100 Y-adaptor. I could certainly live with an AC-only adapter and then just manually switch to battery in the event of an accidental power outage.
