DO NOT BUY PLUMBING FITTINGS FROM AMAZON STOCK

I bought this along with other plumbing fittings from Revain stock. I have purchased many items from Revain inventory in the past and have been very satisfied. I will never do it for plumbing again. This and other items were missing parts. I turned off the water and removed the old parts when I found that each product was missing parts. I had to drive an hour to and from town to buy a new valve body. I was able to install a new part from Menards and then the install. I called Delta, explained…

Good product good for rough plumbing

First of all I am not a handyman and have no experience with bathroom remodeling. Other than that, after reading the instructions and watching some YouTube videos, the installation wasn't very difficult. By the way, shark bite tools saved me a lot of time. The tricky part for me was finding the right distance from the blockboard to the front of the drywall so the cartridge doesn't stick out too far and get in the way of installing the fairing kit or cover. I only have one problem and it's not…

Excellent so far, best faucet parts

Great so far! Went to a plumber near my house and they tried to charge me over $60 for the same product. So I came home and bought this at Revain. I had to replace the plumbing in my bathroom due to clogged pipes. Cut a duct behind my bathroom wall, ripped out the old rusty plumbing (and badly clogged old valve) and replaced it with this guy. I'm working on an old house and didn't want to make new tiles. To get the right depth I made a mounting bracket out of angled aluminum and guessed the…

Body Delta Valve for Bathtub/Shower!

Great product. Just make sure you set it up with "UP" or you'll get water out of the spout and showerhead no matter what you do! I had to cut and flip the drywall and then patch the drywall because I couldn't check "UP" even though I knew it had to be set correctly for the diverter to work properly. Also note the warning not to use Pex plastic pipe for plumbing to the spout or showerhead as it has a reduced internal diameter and the potential for improper water drainage to the spout or…

Inaccurate installation instructions

3 complaints about this unit - The plastic clip that should serve as the depth gauge is not properly described in the instructions. Make sure the valve body is set to the correct depth before grouting the wall. In addition, there is no flow control in this device, it is either fully on or off. That's fine for a temporary bathroom or quick fix, but I wouldn't use it for a new build. Finally, the 2 bolts that attach the trim to the valve body only "twist" the trim slightly. The overlay is stamped

Check for defects upon receipt!

I'm not a plumber and I really learned a lot from this experience. Firstly, if you're wondering why Delta, Moen and other well-known brands are so expensive, here's why: THEY HAVE SPARE PARTS. When your shower valve starts to leak (usually around 10 years old), you can buy a new valve core and have it work like new for $40. This saves you from replacing the valve, which means you don't destroy the tile/fiberglass around the valve. If you buy a cheap Chinese valve and shower hardware kit, you…

Using thread paste instead of thread tape worked great.

This item worked perfectly. Just gotta say, if you're installing it yourself, use the goop threat, not the duct tape thread. Thread paste is much better for sealing the 4-way threaded contact with hot line, cold line, showerhead line and tub spout line. The thread tape that I had to peel and paste had a few small drips down the side of the thread for some reason, but after thread pasting I had no problems. It's definitely a great temperature controller, preventing you from scalding yourself…
