I used to use an old bent wire needle threader, but I've decided to go with this style, especially as eyes get old and it's getting harder and harder to thread the needle unaided. The small end is perfect for the embroidery needles I use. With the bent wire variant, it is much easier to hook the thread with a small hook than to thread it through the loop first. I've also used it in a few situations where my thread was running short and I was pleased to find how easy it was to thread the needle with the hook even with minimal thread. And I appreciate multi-packs so I can spread multiple pieces across my many projects. Like it a lot!
