I live in Michigan. Were I in Arizona this would probably rate a 5. As it is, if you have much stuff in the upper layers they will shade out the sun on the lower layers. Since the netting can dip down with much weight you need to go light and the wind can catch the whole device and blow it around. We did not lose product this way but it all bunched up in the middle several times. Took longer to dry things than simply putting them on a sheet on our porch on a sunny day.
