They only lasted 2-3 weeks with diligent washing with Lilipadz cleaner. The second pair held up the same way. However, they worked great when the stickiness was still there. The milk either did not flow out of the breast due to the pressure on the nipple or pooled in the space around the nipple. It's easy to pick up if you gently remove the pad. To prolong the life of the pad I thought the material was similar to those silicone lint collectors that can be washed for later use. So I scrubbed the pads fairly well (using hot, soapy water and isopropyl alcohol) to remove the material that had built up on the pad. I think it added another week to her life. All in all, pads are a great idea, but I didn't last 2 months as advertised by the pad manufacturer. With great difficulty, they lasted about a month.
