edit: The halo effect I had was actually because I set the overdrive setting to "extreme" when testing, after switching back to normal it no longer occurs. So overall it's pretty good for gaming and as an external monitor for MacBook Pro. Pretty good for gaming with Xbox One s, but very bad ghosting when used as an external monitor for Macbook Pro. I will return it for this reason.
