processing is good. Beautifully painted, no metal burrs, everything fits perfectly. I had a little trouble attaching the base to the pool. A weight is screwed to the bar under the "footplate" of relatively soft metal (lead?). The rod is made of hard steel with a tight thread on the end so you have to be careful when aligning it. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to chew through the threads in the hole in the base. I ended up wiping the hole with steel wool, cleaning the threads on the rod with a small wire brush (there was a small amount of debris in the threads) and applying a few drops of machine oil to each part. This made assembly much easier. I get nervous every time I walk past one of the stalls that have a small speaker attached to them. I believe the speaker weighs about 4 pounds. and my stick is fully extended. It takes a long time to knock one over, but that won't be much of a problem once everything is connected as the speakers/stands will be pretty much out of the way. I didn't like how I had to attach the speakers. taking into account the design of the speakers and nozzles included in the stand set. The speakers are kinda off. I wanted to use the threaded brass holes on the speakers but had to go to my local hardware store to get them. For $1.98 for screws and washers, I was happy. Although this review sounds rather negative, I'm happy with what I got. I wasn't expecting the speaker connection hardware to work well - there are too many differences in the shape of the speakers. I gave them a star because they made me work a little harder than I wanted to.
