Installation is not difficult at all if you first install the poles in a criss-cross pattern and then add the remaining poles. If you try to go through the diameter you will find that the last bar or two is very difficult to insert. I'm a professional photographer and also a videographer, so I always use lighting equipment and I have a lot of options. So this is one of the many tools I needed when I wanted soft light for my smaller Godox LED light. Now at least with LEDs, with only an external diffuser panel, it has about 1 light baffle. So if you're at f/4 you need to go to f/2.8 or ISO 200 which gets bumped to ISO 400 and so on. on. I found an interesting front diffusion panel design. It makes sense as something as small as a 24" softbox is probably overkill to have velcro where this fits very snugly and you can see in the photo how it's tightened and staying in place. Problem. 24 inches minimum for what I use is hair light, back light or as a small fill light. It all depends on the intended project. I have many Neewer products including a larger 36" mesh softbox for my 150w and 200w leds. If you need a softer light for your flash or strobe I'd probably choose more, but for baby portraits or small subjects a 24-inch screen is more than enough. Just think about how much light you can cut and use the appropriate power output.
