To be honest my dogs will eat anything. In any case, they are very satisfied with this food. I haven't fully switched them to this and this food is quite pricey as a daily source along with the shipping cost. So it can be a supplement to their normal canned food and I can feed them less canned food and be comfortable. I'm on a budget and that will definitely stretch it. What I did was take it and add a little less water than recommended, let it sit for a while, then add a little more water. Feed them and refrigerate the rest for the next meal. You can add a little more hot water before feeding. As long as the food is soft, I feel like you're rehydrating it. It is not dry food and unlike inferior store-bought pellets, it does not turn into a full-fledged mush when wet. I wouldn't want to feed him much unless he was well rehydrated. I've found that a 1:1 ratio of dry food to water is pretty accurate. However, use more or less depending on what your dogs like best. Use very hot water, not boiling. The food is highly recommended.
