They look exactly like the photo. Nice attractive part. It's all real wood, not cardboard/cardboard/cheap. They require self-assembly and the instructions are useless. But by looking at the photos and using common sense to figure out how to put it together pretty easily and it's usually not my area of expertise (I usually leave things like that to my husband). You will need a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver. They fold easily as indicated. The kids loved it when we showed it to them and they really kept up with the organization system we used with them.
