just received on February 24, 2015, designed for 7 pieces, can't hurt. Read the reviews that they weren't bright or waterproof so used an 18v battery and plugged in one of the 4 I ordered and then threw it in a bucket of soapy water. when the battery was empty after 3 hours, i could no longer see the water in the light. Changed the batteries and it still lit my front yard (50x65) well enough to read a newspaper in the farthest spot. They are a good headlight as the description says it was 60 degrees. good praises the high beam, not sure if everyone says they're just blurry. maybe they do it with the dot version. They feel solid. The casting is rough like sandpaper rather than polished like the more expensive brands. The current draw was a little lower than I expected for a 27 watt 18 volt lamp. (1.41 amps instead of the expected 1.5, just 1.6 watts), albeit close enough. I walked on my lap for about 30 minutes just to see how hot they were. and they weren't noticeably warmer in a 70-degree house. mpont is simple but sufficient. All 4 lights produced the same color light and all 9 lights looked the same through welding goggles. (bright look straight ahead) Now, in the real world, I hope they get installed as soon as the snow stops. Okay it's January 27th 2016. Used them for almost a year and gave them to my 17 year old son who upgraded to 4 in 48 watts. They worked great and still work.
