Review on Rogue One: Star Wars Black Edition by Daniel Russell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fur. Not for adults. regret.

This is a product overview. The third party it came through was great. My biggest problem is the size. I read in the reviews that it fits an adult head. Doesn't match mine. Maybe my head is shapeless or deformed but doesn't fit into any dimension. In order to be able to see clearly through the eyepieces I had to modify it right out of the box. I had to remove the rubber nose guard and lengthen both straps just enough to fit the contours of the helmet. My head is pinned up, it's snug against my brows and my nose is tucked forward (without a nose guard). Uncomfortable after a few minutes. For reference, my service cap is 7 3/8" with buzz and no more than 7 3/4" with hair. So maybe a bigger size, but not Mr Mackie. The helmet is fine. Honestly (apart from the size) I expected more. At first glance it works, but on closer inspection it doesn't hold up either. Construction is just ok. Everything in it is just fine. This is ideal for a child or small adult. I would place it on the high end of the toy spectrum but very low on the collectible level. It's not of the same caliber as the others in the series, which is a tragedy since stormtroopers are a staple of Star Wars.

Pros
  • Press the button on the side of the helmet to electronically distort your voice to sound like an Imperial Stormtrooper from the Galactic Empire!
Cons
  • Minor issues
