I have other cheap vibrators that I ended up throwing away because they had a thousand different tempos (like one long pulse, then three short pulses in a loop, or a long short long short, or a short short short pause short long short, seriously!..someone really wants to choose from 50 different tempos if they're just trying to get the job done!) And each tempo has a thousand different tempos, but there's never a right or if (hooray!) I've got that Found the right one, I could never find it again because, you know, a thousand different speeds and steps. This one is a lot simpler and old-school in a good way. It has a power button and an up/down button that can speed it up or slow it down. I mean, it's a vibrator, so it vibrates, but it doesn't have a similar pace to my pulse mixer. I will not drop this one.
