Odd size, left and right are not the same size

I had to order a few sizes smaller than expected. The way male/female/EU sizes are compared and scaled seems inconsistent and doesn't conform to any standard I could find on google. The left shoe, sewn in the same size, is significantly larger and longer than the right one. I believe they are actually half a size larger than the correct ones and mislabeled. However, they are way cheaper and cuter than any other mountaineering boot we've found.
