This is a pretty neat product. It fits into a nice niche, combining the capabilities of a docking station and M.2 enclosure. I needed both for my college laptop so this was a great find. However, this is not ideal. Here are some pros and cons: PRO: - Solid build quality, fit and finish (including cables) - Easy SSD installation - Good price - Good I/O options. CONS: - HDMI doesn't work for me, but I might be using it over USB 3.1 Gen 1. As you can see from the pictures, I couldn't get full speed even on my USB connection. I'm using a Samsung 980 (NVME) so I don't understand why this is. I tried both ATTO and CrystalMark. Notes: - Firmware must be updated before installation. I was sketched first because the seller sent a Google Drive link, but it's just a Realtek firmware update software, so fear not. - In normal use, it gets warm enough, but not very hot. - That's exactly what I did. DO NOT try to use the USB PD function so I can't confirm how well it works. The ethernet connected right away and worked as expected (I don't have gigabit internet, but the speeds match my 100 up/down plan). Overall, this is a really solid product, especially for just over $50. Docked a star due to speed and HDMI issues. However, I recommend it.
