I wear them while working on projects so I don't have to spend a lot of time picking my shoes to clean. I've had several good pairs of work boots over the years that have gone out sooner than intended because something had gotten on them meaning they look unprofessional. I'm keeping the boots, of course, but my pile of "boots that don't look good" is starting to grow out of control. Disposable booties, bought in bulk, are the answer. They are of good quality and hold up well. The second reason. I keep some of these: hiking boots! Two pairs of these are going nowhere. Fold them in half, slip them over your socks and you have supremely comfortable, warm walking shoes to relax in after a hard day of hiking at camp. They weigh nothing, and if the outer pair fails on day one, you know you have a backup pair to watch out for on subsequent trail camp nights. Keep those boots clean and those hiking feet in a proper place!
