This light does not produce 8300 lumens as advertised. Perhaps the total number of LEDs and their individual luminous flux = 8300 lumens. However, if you take into account the white plastic diffuser that covers all the LEDs, the brightness becomes much lower. I would say it emits around 5000 lumens. Also, the electronics must be connected and mounted in the bracket, these are not US standard color cables. It only had a blue and brown wire, the instructions said blue is neutral and red is hot - I didn't have red but brown. Attaching the rings was easy enough, but the mounts that come with the flashlight are flimsy and can't support the weight. They provide drywall anchors to use in addition to installing to the electrical box if you don't want to see a gap between the ceiling and the bracket. I am returning the item as I need something very bright for a large living room.
