Item came without bulb (despite advertising) and with wrong base which only has 7 holes to attach brackets (8 brackets were included). The mounting plate came with screws that were too short for this fake base. Luckily I had longer metric bolts to match the black round nuts that attached the base to the mounting bar. Those annoyances aside, assembly and installation was a little tedious, but not particularly difficult. Note that the mounting plate can only be mounted to the electrical box in the ceiling in one orientation, which may be an undesirable orientation! (Hardware stores have round mounting plates with long slots that allow for more flexibility in alignment, but that's another complication.) I got one once. Despite all those downright annoying details, the unit itself looks nice and works as advertised. the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Update: I upgraded my rating after the seller contacted me. They offered a partial refund for minor inconveniences and to cover my lightbulb costs.
