I used to use one of the cheaper matte screen protectors on my old iPad to make it look like paper and when it came time to put the screen protector on my new iPad I got stuck to choose between this and other cheaper ones. I chose this one because of the very helpful installation instructions and decals and the difference is really significant! This screen protector has more traction than the $7 alternative I've used before, which really gives it an almost papery feel. . If you're looking for fingerprint protection, it seems to work very well for that too. I'm a graduate student and I use my iPad/Apple Pencil to read research papers and it's perfect for that purpose. In terms of anti-glare, this is something I don't usually notice, but I can upgrade if I notice less eye fatigue during the semester. Of course, it has a bit of blur (all mattes are), so beware if you're someone who wants a full Retina display.
