This is the best pet car accessory I have ever bought. My 10-year-old German Shepherd rode comfortably (and slept most of the time) during our trip from Las Vegas to Portland and back. It had room to stretch out on the back seat of my Honda Accord and I could also store a lot of things on the floor between the front of the back seat and the back of the front seat. I had to put some blankets under the part of the cushion that sits on the seat because the back seat tilted a bit and that helped straighten it. I also put their rubber bottomed pad on top of the padding because without it (during our pre-ride training runs) it slipped a bit. I couldn't attach the side loops to anything, but that's not a problem. I highly recommend this product, even for short trips. I also used a Vastar adjustable tangle free dog harness that attached to her harness (NOT her collar, THAT'S dangerous!) but luckily we had a safe round trip.
