I ordered these 'mixing bowls' because they seemed like a good buy and I needed a new mixing bowl. Pros: Durable, smooth shells. Ideal for serving plates. When you're done, you can just cover them with a lid. The seal is pretty good, but I didn't do all the testing because I don't want to risk chaos. The bad news: the bowls aren't really mixing bowls. Even the largest bowl isn't big enough to mix most things. I've tried pizza/bread dough, cakes and cookies - and made a mess every time because the largest bowl was too small. I'm a person too, I don't do big parties, I just cook for one. Also, the lid comes off when you put them in the freezer, FYI. However, they still make excellent serving bowls. Just disappointed that it's not big enough to mix properly.
