One of the strips broke on installation where 70% of the red lights went out meaning only blue works and for example if the color fushia is on then 30% is bright red and 70% is dark blue. See my 3rd photo where the red color is completely absent. Pretty easy to install. I can't say anything about the grip strength as I've only had it for a week. You have to remove the red and black wires to connect the battery, and luckily the designers provided several inches of connecting wire. Another thing that disappointed me is that there is NO WHITE! This is the only color I really wanted! Being able to blink to the music and all of that is totally unnecessary (and goofy) but there's not even white! They're not as bright as I'd like, either, but they're not bad. Be prepared to spend at least an hour installing it; It takes some time to figure out the placement and securing/covering of the wires. Only two stars out of five.
