Review on BELSIZE Lightweight Balance Bike for Kids & Toddlers - Aluminum Alloy Frame, 6.4 lbs Only - Silver/Red/Black by Andre Tenk

A balance bike is highly recommended!

My first child sat on a classic Strider balance bike when she was about 2.5-4 years old but has since switched to a 16" Belsize bike which has been a great bike for her. Thought I would try the new Belsize 12 inch balance bike for my second rider who wants to start balance cycling before the age of 2. This (aluminium) Belsize impeller is significantly lighter than the (steel) Strider of the same generation. the size. I really feel the difference when I lift the bike and part of the experience on a balance bike is getting it to ride in good spots! The Belsize bike is also slightly larger than the Strider and feels more solid/substantial despite being lighter. It really does look like a downsized adult bike (no pedals) rather than a child's toy. Air-filled rubber tires have a much better grip and are softer than the Strider's hard foam tires. The bike arrived well protected in the box (with a picture of the bike) and was easy to assemble with basic bike tools, tightening the stem with an allen wrench and fitting the front wheel to the fork. My kid loves red! Overall, I highly recommend this bike. A suggestion for the manufacturer is to add a braking mechanism (also as an optional extra). Once the kids start descending the slope, they can use their own brakes instead of relying on their parents to stop them - lots of fun either way! wheels in general. Balance bikes in general are a great way to get kids cycling sooner with little to no effort. Children can sit and walk on a balance bike almost like a scooter for many months (especially if they have space indoors) and are slowly learning the basics. Eventually they can ride downhill with full balance and ready for a small pedal bike. My first rider was able to pedal and balance on her 12 inch pedal bike straight away by learning balance bike balancing and tricycle pedaling separately in kindergarten. Training wheels teach bad habits that are hard to break, and balance bike riding is more fun than slowly pedaling on a training wheel (at least in my experience).
