My rating is based on my experiences with other weapons. Cons: There is little recoil. Not enough to strain the arm/arm/shoulder but enough to leave a small dent in the material you are working with. So you must START the rubber tip! (Which is a bit big if you're trying to get a "closer target" so you'll have to guess.); Flashlight location. WHY DID YOU POSITION IT BEHIND THE NOZZLE? This makes it almost completely unusable. This doesn't let you know he's run out of nails. You MUST check physically, like an air gun; Bulge on the right side of the gun. Supposed to be part of the firing mechanism, but unfortunately creates an extra bulge on the gun body that can potentially (if you're not careful) leave a dent in the material you're working with. So if you're a cautious person, you tend to place the gun next to you on HIS left side while working, which is a bit inconvenient in those cases where it's more convenient to place it FROM YOUR left side; much more often than my ryobi pistol. And by "much more" I mean a few to 4-5 times in a full day of use. (Compared to, for example, my Ryobi shotgun, which made the same number of jams in a year); There is no "rapid fire" option. You must physically hold the gun against the surface and ONLY THEN pull the trigger. This is good from a safety point of view, but when you have to hammer in quite a few nails in a row and you can do it quickly, there is a small problem. As I mentioned at the beginning, that's all compared to other similarly priced weapons (like the Ryobi for example). Pros: Lightweight although physically bulky. It's even more comfortable to hold than some other cordless guns; Does not require oil; Slightly faster than pistols with built-in air compressor; Slightly quieter than guns with built-in compressor; "jamming" of a stuck striker, even without having to open the latch "jammed nail". Hope that helps
