Float Rods - Drainage Pumps

The pump works well, it can pump more than me, I replaced it with a garden hose with a 1.5" PVC connector and then a 3/4" garden hose . The problem is in the float and it can be the cause of the burned ones. Mine kept getting stuck in the "off" position, so I had to keep an eye on it and shake it from time to time to get it working. If it gets stuck in the "on" position I can see it blowing out.
