These are functional corner protectors. They are soft and durable and will definitely do their job. They come with double sided tape to attach the protectors to the edge of each desk/table. They are over an inch in diameter so keep that in mind when purchasing. If I didn't have toddlers in my house, I'd prefer something smaller and less obtrusive unless I was constantly in danger of banging my knees or causing myself avoidable harm. They're just flashy just to have "just in case". If you have a child in your family then that is to be expected, but for a house full of adults I think it would be odd. If I didn't already have them I would choose something more subtle (ie smaller) but because of the clumsy baby and my cheapness I'm putting them on three tables. It can look strange in a house where they aren't. There are kids but I still give this 5 stars because they do exactly what they are supposed to do.
