Review on 🔸 K&N Premium Cabin Air Filter VF2016: High Performance, Washable, Clean Airflow for Select 2006-2019 Kia/Hyundai/Chevy/GMC Vehicles by Steve Harris

Purchase date: 08 Oct 2016 Purchase price: USD 36.29. I bought my car brand new with zero miles and recently changed the oil as usual. Then a mechanic from the dealership came up to me and mentioned that my cabin air filter was dirty and needed replacing as the car had only driven 15,000 miles (he showed me the cabin air filter - it was black not white). He also mentioned that my engine filter was in a similar condition. He advised me to replace both, it would have cost me $79.99 plus tax to install. I declined. I decided to try Revain because I've made these setups myself before and they're easy. I found K&N and remembered how much my dad loved them on his car. Since I average 15,000 to 20,000 miles a year, I made the following pre-purchase calculations based on my car having driven at least 100,000 miles, which I intend to do: Dealer replacement and fitment: $79.99 plus tax every 15,000 miles = $560.00. plus tax (100,000 miles) I replace and install center filters: $20.00 through Revain 15,000 miles = $140.00 (100,000 miles) I replace and install with K&N: $100.00 through Revain for engine air filter, cabin air filter and cleaning kit = $100.00 + (100,000 miles) I bought a K&N engine air filter, cabin air filter and cleaning kit for about $100. I will clean every 10,000 km. K&N recommends all 12,000 K&N offers a 10 year/100,000 mile limited warranty on its air filters. I first replaced the cabin air filter (see picture). After installing this filter, my car smells clean. All I feel is the interior cleaner and upholstery cleaner I used to clean my car. This filter is really durable and well made. It comes in a plastic wrap and has an oily appearance, which is normal. The package includes two K&N window stickers and an additional sticker to be placed where you want to let anyone who will be changing the cabin filter in the future know that it can be cleaned and reused to prevent accidentally throwing it away. from (picture shown where I posted mine). Installation instructions were included with the kit. What I also liked was that Revain has to tell K&N what my stored vehicle information is and they included a second printed manual for my make of car in the box (two thumbs up).
