I bought this tripod to record events from a separate angle and side events. I didn't expect it to be a better quality tripod than my Davis in Sanford which costs a lot more than this tripod. I like literally everything about this tripod more. And of course I like the price better. The head on this tripod is actually smoother and works better than I expected. This tripod is much taller than the other tripod when extended more than a foot. In addition, it is slightly lighter, which makes it easier to transport. Comes with a nice bag which didn't come with my other tripod and I had to order a separate bag for it. The knobs on the fluid head are larger and easier to tighten and loosen. The handles on the lesion are much easier to clip on and off as they are larger than my current tripod. When you consider that this tripod costs less than $50 less than my professional Davidson Sanford tripod, I'm blown away. I had other recent products including the field monitor and batteries. I didn't know they made so many other cameras and video products. There are other products I have bought, very good quality, and I really buy this brand. This tripod will now be my main tripod in the future! I'm so glad I found this tripod and took a chance!
