Well packaged, pre-lubricated, ready to use. K&N is simply the best reusable air filter around. It should be the first thing you buy for your new car. Servicing is really easy and can be done by anyone who can hold a screwdriver without accidentally gouging their eyes out. Don't expect an increase in tire shredding performance and you won't be disappointed. Of course it's more efficient, just like modern cars. However, if you already have some work on the engine, you definitely need an extra thread.
