Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

I ordered this flash for a Canon EOS 80D camera. In the instructions for the flash at the time of purchase, it is not in the list of compatible ones, so I had to take risks. After receiving the order, I checked the flash in operation - it fits my camera quite well . There was a double impression about the flash. In terms of design, of course, it differs from the original Canon (it's not worth comparing here!), It also differs for the worse from the Meike MK-600 - a complete "clone" of the Canon Speedlite 580 EXII. You have to get used to the functional buttons of the flash, the functionality itself seems to be the same in terms of volume as that of the “older” Canon flash models, but the necessary functions have to be experimentally found by the “poke method” (there is no instruction manual in 2022, but there is one in English ). The flash is much more convenient to adjust from the camera menu. In general, the flash is quite normal. I don’t know how it will be in terms of reliability (on the Meike MK-600 that I had, the lamp burned out exactly one year later with its rare and careful operation). We'll see…

Pros
  • I really liked the backlight of the autofocus assistance, it hits right where the focus of the camera is aimed, without deviations! In general, I liked the work of the electronic part, it fulfills the set parameters very correctly, and this was one of the main selection criteria for me. I note that if you have more than one such flash, then the built-in radio control will eliminate the need to buy synchronizers. It is also possible to ate the flash firmware. The "head" of the flash in the horizontal and vertical plane moves rigidly, with little effort, which is good, since there is no push-button fixation of the "head". I also liked the change in screen color depending on the configured flash mode.
Cons
  • I didn’t like the hot shoe mount, the flash on / off button and the option dial. Made somehow not solid, or something .
