For the money, it's a good swimsuit. The fabric is durable and dries quickly, but does not stretch - its what other surf brands call "DynoSuede". It's designed for swimming and that's about it. Towel lint tends to stick to it when you wipe off. The mesh liner is ok, but just ok. It's about what you would expect in a budget short - good, but not the best. I ended up cutting it out of mine so that I could wear compression shorts or racer briefs underneath. The hip pockets are generous for wallet, cellphone, keys, and whatever, and I never used the back pocket but it seems ok. Water drains out very well and the drawstring is nice and strong. I could surf in these without worry of them coming off or coming apart. My only complaint is that I'm a short round guy and the lack of stretch made the fit a bit difficult. I ended up ironing a "Baywatch" logo patch on the leg for fun. It looks like it belongs there.
