Foam Cushion Very dense foam that I think should last a long time. the swivel was very tight but a small dose of wd40 in the middle of the swivel took care of that. no screws were striped during reassembly and i tightened them really well so it was good. The stool can support a large weight of over 250 pounds. so that was good. The parts processing and finish could be a little better but for what you pay I call it fair. The leather upper and rivets are holding up well so far and look like they will last a long time. in general. I will say this is a good stool for what you pay.
