About 12 months ago I bought 3 of these bar stools for our new apartment. I was forced to have bar stools for vacationers so I left the stools although there were scratches on the legs as well as a fairly deep cut on the round base where the legs attach. Love the 360 degree swivel, it's very strong, but after 6 months one swivel had bearing failure, so it's noisy when spinning. disappointed about it. Lesson learned.

I've been looking for good bar stools for days and finally found them. I don't think I could have made a better choice for the price. Big discount compared to everything I looked at. Quality and assembly are top. They were easy to put together (15-20 minutes each) and look and feel great. They are also very durable and handle my 230 pounds with no problem. I recommend these bar stools to everyone.

Foam Cushion Very dense foam that I think should last a long time. the swivel was very tight but a small dose of wd40 in the middle of the swivel took care of that. no screws were striped during reassembly and i tightened them really well so it was good. The stool can support a large weight of over 250 pounds. so that was good. The parts processing and finish could be a little better but for what you pay I call it fair. This chair is beautiful to look at and sturdy - so far - we have not used it in practice. Took about 15 minutes to assemble, nothing complicated. I read the negative review about the height and had some concerns. Actual height is closer to 24 inches, although the pillow is very dense and about three inches deep. My guess is that the pad can condense over time, causing the rack height to drop. My husband is tall so this shouldn't be a problem for him but if he shrinks too low it will be too low…

These stools are exactly as pictured and very easy to assemble. There was a washer that actually came out of the box and was taped to the tape on the outside of the box. I opened it up, carefully searched the entire package and miraculously found ALL the screws and washers that were loose. After installing everything, it only took me about 20-25 minutes to assemble each stool. All pre-drilled holes have been lined up well and this is a durable, stylish piece of furniture. As one reviewer noted,

stools are VERY good for such a low price. I bought 5 and assembled them myself (45 year old female :). Just a few tips that helped me set it up quickly. If you have a drill/screwdriver, I recommend buying a 5/32 hex bit (I bought 9 or 10 packs of hex bits from Home Depot for about $6).
