I had washcloths, sponges and brushes - I hate wet brushes or sponges in my suitcase so I bought these to dry and pack. Plus, thanks to the handles on it, you don't have to perform complicated maneuvers to reach your entire back! The handles keep it straight, and as other reviewers have pointed out, the flatter side is great for applying lotion. But having something to dry and pack is very handy.
