Memory error message

The card is inserted into the Sony Handycam HDR-SR11 and an error message appears that recording or playback is not possible. This message is displayed for about 3 seconds. Tried a few shots and they seem to be ok despite the error message. The only annoying thing is that the camera beeps with a notification, which can be turned off but is desirable for other features.
