Review on 📸 REXING V3 Basic Dual Camera Front Infrared Night Vision Full HD 1080p WiFi Car Taxi Dash Cam with Supercapacitor, 2.7" LCD Screen (V3 Basic - No GPS) by Marcus Price

I am reviewing this product as part of the Rexing Review Club. This is my fourth Rexing DVR. Let's start with the positive things. 1) The clearest recordings of any DVR I've ever had. 2) Accepts cards up to 256GB. 3) Video of the exterior and interior of the car. Required for Lyft, Uber, or an employee driving a company vehicle. 4) Built-in GPS module, showing the vehicle's speed on the video. Also a great feature for a company vehicle. 5) Tilt cameras to adjust the angle of the camera from up or down. 6) Low profile for minimal windshield blockage. 7) Infrared LEDs for car interior lighting. Creates clear videos and photos of the salon. 8) Ability to turn off recording in the cabin and record only outside the car if desired. 9) You can turn off the microphone so it doesn't record conversations in the car. 10) You can view files directly from SD card. or by connecting to Camera.Cons1) Setting the date and time doesn't work. I've tried this multiple times and it resets every time I turn off the device. 2) Setting the time zone and daylight saving time sometimes causes a delay before the correct time is set. This results in some files not showing the date and time. 3) The phone cannot connect to the camera using the Rexing Connect app. To be honest V3 is not listed as supported in the app and my phone is running Android 7.4). The camera is very sensitive to the power supply. Unlike my other dash cams, this one does not work properly with a USB lithium ion battery source. 5) It is not possible to turn on the camera without connecting the power supply. I don't know if that's normal with the Ultra Cap. 6) GPS data cannot be displayed. Presumably this is available in the app but I couldn't get it to work. I look forward to seeing what features are fixed or added with upcoming firmware updates and will update my review accordingly. I believe this has the potential to be a great full featured dashcam that every company should have in their employee driven vehicles. I have had excellent customer service from Rexing for my other dash cams which I hope will continue with this model. Update 02/18/2020 You have updated the camera firmware and app. This solved most of the above problems. They have greatly improved the GPS time function, so when I last checked I only had about 4 files out of 50 with incorrect times. Maybe that was due to bad satellite reception. I was able to set the time and now it keeps the correct time from when I set it. I can now also connect to the camera via the Rexing app. When opened, it shows a list of files and allows you to view them on your phone. The video quality is still great and with firmware updates and app fixes this is a great dash cam and Rexing have great customer service. 12/30/2020I thought it was time for another update. The camera still works great and they fixed the GPS issues with the latest firmware update and now all the files are correct. I deleted the app from my phone as I don't have much storage and still haven't used it. I would like info on the write speed and I think this is a great all round camera. Anyone who operates Lyft or Uber. I highly recommend this brand and especially this model. I just recently bought the basic night vision monocle which is a great product for the price.
