These are authentic. How do I know? Born and raised (at least the first few years of his life) in Beijing. If you are going to Beijing, China on vacation and plan to walk around hutongs and Tiananmen Square, wearing it will give you a legitimate authentic Chinese look. Or if you are making a Bruce Lee costume for Halloween these will look gorgeous. These aren't the most comfortable shoes in the world. Not much arch support and sizing, although it fits me (10.5 Nike and 10.5 here), with a little flex at the top of the fabric. The outsole is quite thin while providing some slip protection, they are not thick when wet and do not absorb shock. The price is reasonable, although you can find cheaper alternatives. I still recommend them as they are a legitimate Old Beijing brand. Enjoy!
