Review on Organic Cotton Baby Bibs - HECCEI Bandana Drool Bibs For Teething And Drooling by Jacob Guerrero

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cute & soft but snaps rip out of fabric 😢

EDIT: Changed from 4-Stars to 3-Stars. See update below!ORIGINAL: My 15-month-old son is a complete drool monster lately! We have tons of cotton bandana bibs that have fleece backings but those get SOOOO hot on warm summer days. I was excited to see muslin drool bibs because they reminded me of all of his burp cloths and swaddle blankets from his newborn days. Muslin is SO soft and must feel good on sensitive baby skin. This pack comes with ten 100% cotton bibs. We got the animal print pack because it came with three dinosaur bibs! My son is all about dinos! RAWWR! 🦖🦕PROS:- Super soft!- Double Layered for extra absorbency- Bright colors and prints- Adjustable snaps- Washes easily- Snaps are sturdy and my son can’t pull them off himself.CONS:- Much smaller than the rest of his drool bibs. These would be ideal for infants but perhaps a little small for toddlers.- All of them have a white background which stains easily.- They’re considered unisex but some are a little more feminine, while others are definitely more masculine.- Not as absorbent as other bibs.- Hard to unsnap.TAKEAWAY: While I love the prints and how soft these are, I’m not sure they’re ideal for super drooly teething toddlers. These would make fantastic bibs for newborns and infants. On my son they’re a little short even when on the largest snap setting. I still really like these but can’t imagine spending $30 on them ($29.99 at time of review). I did see that these had a $14 off coupon though, so if you happen to catch that sale this is a fantastic bargain! I just wish that they were sold in Boy packs or Girl packs, because even though they’re unisex I don’t think I’ll be putting rainbows and unicorns on my son anytime soon. Although he does love rainbows! 🌈 I love the softness of them but it would be nice if they were a little bit more absorbent. My son is getting his 2nd set of molars and soaked through one of these bibs in less than two hours! Having white backgrounds is also really tough because they stain too easily. Overall these would be great for babies who haven’t started eating solids yet or for smaller toddlers. It would make a great baby shower gift!UPDATE: We have been using these bibs daily for the past week and unfortunately there are some additional things I’ve found that I dislike about them. These snaps are not the highest quality, and they’re plastic. They’re so hard to unsnap that I’ve actually pulled two of them out of the fabric and created fraying, holes, and a "hanging snap.” I had to toss those two bibs because I just don’t have the time or energy to sew them back together. I also have to change these every 30 minutes because he completely soaks through them and gets his clothing wet. As an infant my son was an early teether, but even back at 3M old he didn’t drool THAT much, so I feel like these bibs would be best used on infants. Toddlers will go through these way too quickly! I love the patterns though. If this company would add metal snaps and reinforce them while also making them a little longer and thicker, than these may be worth $3/bib. Without those adjustments this pack is not worth it for the list price.
