Use thick and high socks!

Bought for my 13 month old. We couldn't find shoes to stay in, so the nursery offered it. After wearing them to kindergarten the day after receiving them, he came home with scrapes on his ankles from being rubbed. He was wearing socks. So the next day we used thicker and longer socks. After changing socks, we didn't have any more problems with it. I used self-adhesive, non-slip pads, but they came off after 2 weeks of daycare use. They feel a bit slippery on vinyl and hardwood floors. They are good outdoors and on carpet. He doesn't seem to realize they're on and can't take them off. He has been wearing them for approx. 2 months daily as his main pair of shoes. Overall we are happy with this shoe, just wish the bottom had a non-slip grip. I give 4 stars because of the lack of a non-slip bottom.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
